Andrea Sparks is the Executive Director of the Texas Regional Office, National Center for Missing & Exploited Children. The Regional Office provides training, resources and assistance to law enforcement, educators and child caregivers to help protect and rescue children from abuse, exploitation and trafficking. Before joining NCMEC, Andrea was the Director of Public Affairs for Texas CASA, the statewide association of Court Appointed Special Advocate organizations that train and support volunteers to advocate for children in custody of Child Protective Services. Andrea has also practiced law, representing children and families in CPS, juvenile justice and adoption cases and worked as a staff attorney at the Texas Supreme Court.
Andrea is a founding board member of Strong Start, an organization that prevents child abuse and neglect by working with high risk children and their families. She is on the board of Austin Children’s Shelter and active in the National Charity League.
Andrea is married to Grant Sparks, an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Western District, and they have two children, Maddie 16 and J.T. 13, and two dogs, Red and Boomer.
