Kyle Miller: Kyle Miller was born in Los Angeles, California and grew up in four Asian countries and the United States as a missionary kid. In 1978, Kyle graduated from Lansing Christian School in Lansing Michigan. After attending LeTourneau College for three years he transferred to the University of Texas at Austin in 1981 and from a Bachelor and two Masters degrees in psychology and counseling. Kyle is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Approved Supervisor and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Approved Supervisor.
In his 32nd year of ministry, Kyle is the Founder and Director of Global Care & Response, a non-profit, tax-exempt 501©3 charitable organization in Austin, Texas. Through GCR Kyle provides local counseling and training in Austin, and international counseling and training to trauma workers and trauma survivors such as sex-trafficking, genocide, and disaster survivors using the Beatitude Trauma Model based on Jesus’ words in Matthew 5:1-16.
Kyle began serving sex trafficking survivors and their workers in 2008 in Chisinau, Moldova on the first of six trips to provide counseling to the residents and counseling and training to the staff of Freedom Home. From his twenty international trips to serve in fifteen countries, ten of them have been to provide counseling to the trafficking survivors and counseling and training to their workers. Currently, Kyle is counseling 25 trafficking survivors live in Austin live and via Skype in the USA, Europe, and Africa.
