Matthew Hansen is the Director of Strategic Partnerships for Allies Against Slavery. He is also a local church planter and one of the founding elders of Church at East. He regularly speaks at local and national leadership and advocacy events on topics of justice, human trafficking, ethics, theology, and community. Matthew was one of the visionary architects for the Ferrier Village, a safe village in Ferrier, Haiti, established to shelter and care for the most vulnerable children being trafficked between Haiti and the Dominican Republic. Matthew has a BA in Biblical Theology from Trinity Southwest, and is currently working on his MDiv at George Fox Seminary. Matthew and his wife Sarah live in the heart of Austin, Texas with their four kids. Prior to joining the Allies team, Matthew served on the Allies Advisory Council for two years where he helped cultivate the slave-free city vision.
